06. Willams, Charles BrayCharles Bray Williams (1905-1906)

Charles Bray Williams was born January 15, 1869, in North Carolina. He died May 4, 1952.

At the time he served Hewitt Baptist Church, Dr. Williams was a Bible professor at Baylor University. Carpeting and cleaning the church, an organ and hymn books dominated the business conferences during his time with us. Later, Dr. Williams taught at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and was President of Howard College (now Samford University) in Birmingham, Alabama.

An author, his most notable publication is A Translation of the New Testament in the Language of the People.
