John Gray Kendall (1910-1916)

John Gray Kendall was born October 2, 1846, in Kentucky or Mississippi. He died in 1921.

During the last decade of the Nineteenth Century, Bro. Kendall served as City Missionary for the First Baptist Church, Waco.

Very little is recorded about this Pastor in the minutes of Hewitt Baptist Church, but he is described by Frank E. Burkhalter (chronicler of the history of First Baptist Church, Waco) as a "greathearted, tactful and deeply spiritual man." Earl Warren and Henry Trice were ordained as Deacons on July 25, 1915.
