Robert L. (Bob) Warren was born in Missouri on June 16, 1933. Associated until recently with the Bob Warren Evangelistic Association in Phoenix, Arizona, he is presently serving as an interim pastor in his hometown of Windsor, Missouri. His plans for the future include settling in the Joplin area. In March, 1962, a desk was purchased for the pastor's study. When long-time pianist Electa (Mrs. R.A.) Blanton left the Church, Mae Smith was elected to this position. (Later in the year, Mrs. Smith was elected organist and Ruth Jeter was elected pianist.) Visitors cards were requested by the Pastor to aid him in his visitation. A mimeograph machine was purchased in May, 1962. Vaughan Hyman, Sam Benson and Ray Woodliff were ordained as Deacons in August. In September, 1962, Charlie Maddux was elected Music Director and the first Brotherhood was organized in October. A tape recorder, amplifier and microphone were purchased in November. Additional hymnals were acquired in January, 1963, and the W.M.U. won the banner for having the most in attendance at the April Associational meeting. |
